  • Nutrition & Dietetic Services - endeavours to prevent ill health and promote the health of the residents of Waltham Forest through appropriate nutritional advice, intervention and education.  Our team of dieticians includes specialists in nutrition support, paediatrics, HIV, community diabetes and health promotion.  A number of posts are integrated, providing a service in both acute and community settings.
  • Occupational Therapy - reflects evolving service needs that result from national directives such as the NHS Plan.

  • Pathology Services - include Histopathology, Cytology, Haematology, Biochemistry and Medical Laboratories. Continued personal development is fully encouraged and supported. The Department is fully equipped with a comprehensive range of state of the art equipment and local refurbishment which will ensure continuing first class staff facilities.

  • Physiotherapy - is a developing service providing a physiotherapy service to patients across all medical disciplines.  Postgraduate education within the department has a high priority and is organised within each speciality on a variety of subjects.
  • Pharmacy – this service is responsible for the preparation and supply of medicines for patients and is able to offer a range of excellent career development opportunities.
  • Radiography - the imaging service involves general and interventional radiology, CT scanning and a busy nuclear medicine department.  An obstetric and general ultrasound service and a district-based breast screening service are all part of the Radiology Department.  A brand new MRI unit has recently opened.  An endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) service with radiological input uses the Radiology Department.  Outpatient x-rays are managed through the GP X-ray department. There is an increasing workload in vascular, gastro-enterological and urological interventional radiology.

  • Speech and Language Therapy - there are excellent opportunities for career development within Speech and Language Services, providing help, assistance and therapy to patients with language or speech difficulties.
