Our duty
Disability Equailty Scheme
The Trust launched its Disability Equality Scheme on 4 December 2006.
A consultation period followed, with the scheme being sent to various local community groups and made available for comment via the Trust’s website and staff intranet.
This consultation period has now closed and we would like to thank those who made a contribution. This lead to more information being provided to some groups and representation on the Disability Action Group expanding.
The Trust is now working on completing all the steps outlined in the Action Plan and working towards a Single Equality Scheme.
This scheme will bring together all the current statutory equalities – Race, Disability, Gender and Equal Opportunities under one scheme.
