It can be confusing when you first arrive on the hospital ward.  If you need any assistance please tell us how we can help you.

When you arrive at your ward the nurses or midwives who will be looking after you will help you settle in.  Please ask them anything you want to know about the ward or your stay.

Within the first 48 hours you will be introduced to your "named nurse" (or midwife).  It will be this person's responsibility to oversee and co-ordinate the care you receive in the hospital until you leave. Click here for more information about your named nurse (or midwive).

Tell us if you need special assistance

If you have a disability, special diet or need assistance, talk to your named nurse (or midwife) so that we can try and make suitable arrangements for you.

Tell us if you need an interpreter

We can provide an interpreter for people who don't speak English.
