OUR DEPARTMENTS

Emergency and Urgent Care Centre (EUCC)

What we do

The EUCC incorporates the Accident & Emergency Department and the former Walk in Centre.

Patients with either an emergency or Urgent Primary Care issue will be seen in the centre.

Any patients presenting with routine primary care problems will be streamed back to their own GP with an appointment (if registered), a local primary care/tertiary service or a walk in centre elsewhere by an experienced clinical streamer.

Patients waiting for Majors, minors or paediatric services are given a priority scoring based on their clinical condition.

Patients waiting for the Urgent care service will be seen by an experienced GP in time order or when their clinical condition requires a more rapid consultation.
