OUR DEPARTMENTS

Department of Sexual Health (DOSH)

What we do

We offer screening for all sexually transmitted infections including HIV and Hepatitis B and we provide a walk-in clinic for sexual health screening

We can also offer advice and information on sexually transmitted infections and associated problems.

If you need treatment we can usually provide this on site and it is free of charge.

Post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV infection is available to those that know that they have been put at risk through injury or sexual exposure. Out of hours, PEP is available from the Accident and Emergency Department in the main hospital.

For help and advice about sexual health please phone our department and ask to speak to a Health Adviser or Nurse.

We are also the HIV outpatient service for Whipps Cross University Hospital. If you are HIV positive and need to see a doctor or wish to transfer your care to this hospital please contact our main department number.
