What we do

Welcome to the Cardiology Unit. Our vision is to give the best medical care to our patients. We specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of Ischaemic heart disease, Arrythmias, Heart failure, Hypertension, Valvular heart disease and Congential heart disease.

Our Cardiology department provides both outpatient and inpatient departments and includes:

Byron Cardiology Unit
Catheterisation suite (Cath Lab)
Elizabeth Ward and Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

Byron Cardiology Unit
Services offered include; consultations with cardiologists, heart failure service, cardiac rehabilitation, Myocardial Persion Scan, pacemaker check and the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic.

We also provide physical measurement investigations such as ECG (electrocardiogram), echocardiogram, exercise tolerance test, 7 day event recorder, 24 hour bp monitoring, 24hour tape monitoring and cardiomemo recorder.
Catheterisation suite (Cath Lab) Specialist surgical unit for day cases such as angiography, pacemaker implant, angioplasty, cardio version, and temporary pacing wire insertions.
Elizabeth Ward and Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Together on one ward cater for cardiac patients requiring an inpatient stay.

Where to find us

Byron Integrated Cardiology Unit
Is located at Junction 14 on the lower ground floor in the Green Zone. Access is from Margaret Road (opposite The Margaret Centre).

Catheterisation suite
Is located at Junction 13 on the lower ground floor in the Green Zone.

Elizabeth Ward and Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Is located at Junction 12 on the lower ground floor in the Green Zone.

Outpatient Clinics	9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic The clinic runs on a first come first served basis.	1pm - 2.30pm Monday to Friday
