OUR DEPARTMENTS

Waltham Forest Healthcare Library

The Library is open to anyone involved in health and social care, working for or with Whipps Cross University Hospital Trust, NHS Waltham Forest and other local service providers.  We are also happy to source and provide information to patients and their carers.

Our aim is to deliver services that:

  • improve the quality of decision making
  • inform patient choice
  • support the development of the whole workforce

Our core services include:

  • access and training across a range of electronic resources
  • mediated literature searches to support clinical activity, service development and research
  • printed materials in all aspects of healthcare and medicine
  • somewhere quiet to study and work
  • supplying material from local and national library networks 

Where to find us

The Library is above Willow Lodge, with access between Junctions 11 and 12 on the main hospital corridor, in the green zone.

Our opening hours

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays - 08.30 to 17.00 hours

Thursdays - 08.30 to 19.00 hours
