Keep on running for the Big Push

3rd July 2009

The Big Push appeal is calling for all keen runners and walkers to get their trainers on in aid of Whipps Cross Maternity Unit.  Choose between two very different sponsored races this September.

The Adidas 5km Women’s challenge takes place at Hyde Park on Sunday 6th September 2009 at 11am.  The event has proven to be extremely popular whether you want to run or walk.  With 30,000 women taking part, the day is not only fun but you can play your part and help raise funds for the Whipps Cross Maternity Unit.

Places sell out quickly so register soon at womenschallenge.co.uk.  Just enter Whipps Cross Big Push Appeal as your chosen charity and let us know when you're part of Team Big Push! We’ll send you a fundraising pack, a Big Push t-shirt, and put you in touch with the rest of the team.

If you’re not eligible for the Adidas Women's Challenge, why not enter a local race which has been organised as part of the run up to the 2012 Olympics? The three2go 5k run takes place at Hackney Marshes on Sunday 12th September. It’s open to everyone and even offers a free nine week training programme.

With a children’s 1k run and family festival also happening on the day, it’s guaranteed to be a fun day out for all.  And if you’re feeling very athletic, why not enter their Trail Marathon, which starts in Hertfordshire and follows the River Lea to finish at Hackney Marsh.

Find out more at three2go.org.uk and once you've entered, get in touch for your free Big Push fundraising pack and t-shirt!
