Kids take over the show
Local school children took over the running of Whipps Cross University Hospital on Friday 7th November 2008. The youngsters aged between 9 and 14 were given the chance to interview candidates for jobs on the children’s ward and successfully helped to recruit four new staff nurses and a sister.

Poorly children being treated at Whipps Cross now have something to smile about thanks to a donation from a local bar. A recent quiz night held at Hobnobs Bar, Gants Hill, helped to raise more than £500 for Acorn Ward who presented the cheque to ward staff on Wednesday 30th July.
